Pick an existing on-model picture of the kind you want. Its framing, light, background and pose are what get kept; your garment is what gets placed inside it. Choosing a reference is a more precise instruction than any paragraph of description, because what you want is visual and putting it into words only loses information.
If you have no references yet, that is not a problem: the official library is already in your gallery when you sign up. As you generate, your own best results become the next set.
Two ways to decide who wears it
Don't pick a model and the person in your reference carries over — useful when the reference already shows who you want.
Pick a model and the person in the reference is replaced by the one you chose, while framing, light and background stay as they were. That is how one face runs across an entire catalogue.
Testing styles before committing to a shoot
Fast-moving sellers pay photography costs at the moment of maximum uncertainty — before anyone knows which pieces will sell. The cost of the styles that do not sell is sunk in full. Generating the first set of listing images moves that spend to after the answer is in.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a photo of someone wearing the garment already?
No. Photographs of the garment on its own — hung, laid flat, or on a dress form — are what gets uploaded. The reference picture supplies the pose and the setting.
Can I keep the same model across different products?
Yes, by building a model: three angles of one person, front and a three-quarter turn each way. Pick that model on each submission and the same face runs across the catalogue.
Can I use my own model?
Yes, if you are authorised to photograph them. Upload three angles of that person as a model and it becomes selectable like any other.
Can I use the results commercially?
Yes. Subject to the Terms of Service, you own the images generated for you and may use them in product listings, advertising and anywhere else.
Is a virtual try-on for shoppers included?
No. Truest Lens makes the pictures a seller publishes; it does not put a shopper into a garment on a storefront.
